@wozzerwozzer1 motorcycles have the front brake on right, clutch on left, so most motorcyclist like me have the front brake on the right, rear brake left, I’m right handed so better control too, being right handed I want to keep my rear shifter on the right.
Bikes are set up different for different countries too, it’s not right but manufactures think the rear brake is the most important, so they put that on the opposite side of the hand you would use to signal a turn.

Front brake, right hand, end of argument. All those who say on the left are wrong. So there, get over it.
December 19th, 2010 - 16:32
Right Rear. It has always been that way from my experience.

I have ridden bikes for 61 years. In Uk, Ireland, South Africa, Australia and N.Z, All on the right hand side. I have ridden Motor bikes for over 50 years, front brake on the right hand side. I rode a bike in the US 45 years ago, no front brake. I would hazard a guess that more countries have it on the right side than don’t.

@eddiebelfast it is in the UK but not in the USA

December 19th, 2010 - 17:38
NB. the front brake lever is always on the right hand side ot the handlebars. Not on the left as this person is stating!

there is a Allen bolt on the inside of the caliper. look through the rim from the side with out brakes and you will see it, just tighten those if they are avid there is a red nob thing you can do it by hand.

December 19th, 2010 - 22:40
!!! Noobs at work !!!
You can’t change the tension of a hydraulic brake, like in this video, the magura marta.
The screw of this brake just holds the cable to the brake lever.
So you can’t change something, turning this screw.

most people are right handed. why use right hand for front wheel, most of the time were using right hand.. more power at the rear brake using righthand..
December 19th, 2010 - 23:55
