  1. hmmm i too would like to know. i’m looking for a bike

  2. my roommate just bought the outlook, in light purple, and is loving it. My cousin has had a raleigh for 4 years and had to take it in for his first fix in June. I have a DB and have put it through the ringer with no trouble, except I bent the rim, but that is cause I weigh 280 and jumped a log I shouldn’t have. I would go with the DB.

  3. The Diamondback Outlook is an entry level sport bike intended for riding on the road and offroad on groomed trails… not really a mountain bike and a bit cheap for my taste.

You didn’t mention which Schwinn you were looking at but between Diamondback and Schwinn at the same price, just take your pick BUT make sure that you get the correct sized frame and that you buy it from someplace that has a service department.

  4. I know nothing about the two bikes you are mentioning, but when I was shopping for my women’s mountain bike, my research and test rides led me to the Trek 4500. I looked at Giant, Raleigh and Trek. I also looked at the Trek model below the 4500 and the one above….I found I got the most bike for my $$ with the Trek 4500 and I love the bike. I paid about $450 for it at the end of the season. I have used it on trails, bike paths and did a 25 mile road ride with it.
